Mr. Mike Martin
The ISPE China Board of Directors is pleased to announce that as of 1 January 2025, Mike Martin will be joining ISPE and the ISPE Foundation as the new President and CEO.
Mike holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and a master’s degree in business administration, as well as a professional engineering license. Bringing a wealth of experience and expertise to this role, Mike has a distinguished career spanning more than 35 years in the pharmaceutical industry. Mike joined CAI in 2019 and is currently the company’s CEO.
Most of Mike’s employment was with a large global pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly where he held leadership positions in engineering, operations, and project management across diverse global settings. His extensive experience includes leading large-scale capital projects in the United States, Puerto Rico, China, and Ireland.
Having successfully led diverse teams in various settings, Mike demonstrates his ability to integrate into different cultures and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals. His extensive experience spans a variety of pharmaceutical manufacturing operations, including dry product manufacturing, aseptic manufacturing, API manufacturing, and delivery device manufacturing. He has led engineering, operational, and large project organizations across these manufacturing areas. This includes responsible for project leadership of a$350MM design and construction project to expand insulin formulation and filling capacity in Suzhou, China.
Prior to assuming the role of President and CEO, Mike served on both the ISPE International Board of Directors and the ISPE Foundation Board . We are confident that under Mike’s leadership, ISPE will continue to Shape the Future of Pharma™.
